VBS 2020 – Online, Live and Interactive

Build on anything and it may crumble, but build on God’s Word and He will make you into a Hero of Faith too!

Heroes of Faith is a Vacation Bible School with an hour each day of discovery and activity while spending spiritually helpful time with some of the big heroes from among Old Testament believers: Abraham, Elijah, Queen Esther, Moses and the one Hero that makes all the others be able to stand: Jesus!

Our live, interactive online VBS this July 20 to 24 from 3 to 4 PM, will help your kids & youth ages 5 to 13 years, connect with Jesus through Bible stories, singing, and other fun activities.

Due to the complexities and limitations on gathering, this summer we are offering our Vacation Bible School through an online, secure Zoom video-conference.

A Few Details

PLEASE NOTE: there are no activities at the church this year during VBS; all activities will be done entirely online.

What: Heroes of Faith VBS – live, interactive and online

When: daily July 20 to 24 (Mon-Fri), from 3 to 4 PM (an hour each day)

Who: For children and youth ages 5 to 13 years

• We are partnering with other small Lutheran churches in Montreal and Chicago, so there may be new friends who don’t live in Moncton!
• Children and youth whose first language is not English are most welcome!
• VBS Teachers are trained and have security checks to work with children.

Where: Online via secure Zoom video conference

• After registering you will receive a secure link to join the VBS fun

Cost: FREE!

Tech requirements

• You will need an internet connection and a device with internet capabilities and a microphone and camera.
  • If possible something with a larger screen will allow for better participation.
  • If it is a portable device, you will need Zoom 5.0 or higher, a free app, installed.
  • If it is a computer, you may be able to join using a web browser or may need the free Zoom 5.0 or higher application.
• Please be aware that data usage could have a cost (as an estimate, it may use about as much data as watching a movie for an hour each day).
• If device or Internet access are a problem for you or your family, please let us know.  We can’t promise, but will work with you to let your child participate.
