Wednesday, Feb 17th, 2010 Dear Parents, At 1pm on Saturday, March 27th, 2010, your children -- and your whole family -- are invited to participate in Journey to the Cross, an experiential walk that helps them better understand the events in the last week of Jesus’ life. As they travel in small groups, they will stop at various stations and use their senses to connect to the Bible story. You are invited to enhance our children’s experience by attending with your child. Our children will also be creating a record of this experience through their Journey Passports. Be sure to sit down with your child and ask about his or her Journey, using the Passport as a guide to the events in Christ’s life. We encourage you to delve even further into the resurrection story by looking up the Bible passages that are listed in the Passport and discussing them with your child, and to consider attending the special Divine Services throughout Holy Week and Easter with us. If you would be interested in helping that day or beforehand, helping us track down some of the many items we will need for the day's events, or simply experiencing the walk with your child, please call. If you have questions or need more information, please contact us! And we ask for one more thing: please pray for our children and the volunteers involved in the Journey to the Cross. Ask the Holy Spirit to bless this event and make it meaningful to all who take part. Blessings! Pastor David Milette, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church
